Wizards Fall to Leprechauns in High-Scoring Home Opener, 140–135

In a historic night for the franchise, the Columbus Wizards hosted their first home game in The Basketball League, falling to the Lebanon Leprechauns 140–135 in a high-scoring contest.
With David Magley in attendance, the atmosphere inside The Rike Center reflected the significance of the moment. The energy was evident throughout the night, as fans filled the building and created a playoff-like environment for the team’s introduction to TBL home competition.
On the court, both teams delivered offensively.
Columbus produced one of its most efficient performances of the season, shooting 64.4 percent (56-of-87) from the field while knocking down 9 three-pointers. The Wizards also converted 73.7 percent (14-of-19) from the free throw line and committed just 8 turnovers, maintaining strong control of the game offensively.
Jay Farrow led the Wizards with 28 points on an exceptional 10-of-11 shooting performance, including 4-of-5 from three-point range, providing consistent scoring throughout the contest.
Josiah Fulcher added 26 points on 12-of-18 shooting, attacking efficiently and contributing in key offensive stretches.
Jaiveon Eaves finished with 19 points, while Rasheed Brooks contributed 16 points, knocking down three three-pointers and converting efficiently from the line.
Additional scoring came from Michael Davenport, who recorded 14 points in a team-high 46 minutes, and RJ Fairrow, who added 12 points on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting performance.
Mat Bingaya also contributed 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting, helping maintain offensive rhythm throughout the game.
Despite Columbus’ efficiency, Lebanon matched the pace.
The Leprechauns shot 60.0 percent (57-of-95) from the field and connected on 13 three-pointers, with multiple players contributing to a balanced scoring effort.
Derek Hawthorne led Lebanon with 23 points, including five three-pointers, while Jomel Boyd and Ron Washington each added 16 points.
Omega Harris contributed 13 points and 6 assists, while Anthony Anderson finished with 13 points on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting performance.
Additional contributions from Kavon Bey (12 points) and Coreontae DeBerry (11 points) helped sustain Lebanon’s offensive pressure throughout the game.
While Columbus held advantages in efficiency and ball security, Lebanon’s scoring volume and perimeter shooting ultimately proved to be the difference.
Despite the result, the night marked a significant step forward for the Columbus Wizards, as the organization officially introduced TBL basketball to its home crowd in a high-energy environment.
