Wizards Hold Off Lions Behind Fulcher’s Efficient Night, 115–109

The Columbus Wizards defeated the Memphis Lions 115–109, as Memphis stepped in as a replacement for the Lake County Legacy in a matchup that featured multiple Columbus connections on both sides.


Columbus controlled the game with physicality and efficient scoring, delivering a composed performance to secure the win.


Josiah Fulcher led the way with a dominant and efficient 27-point performance, shooting 10-of-13 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. He consistently imposed his presence, attacking the defense and finishing through contact.


Mat Bingaya added 20 points, continuing to emerge as a dynamic scoring threat, while Jaiveon Eaves filled the stat sheet with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, impacting the game as both a scorer and facilitator.


Jay Farrow contributed 15 points and 7 rebounds, maintaining his steady production, and Malik London recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, controlling the interior.


RJ Fairrow added 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting, providing efficient scoring and energy off the bench as part of a balanced offensive effort.


As a team, Columbus shot 51.6 percent (47-of-91) from the field and controlled the glass with a 56–47 rebounding advantage, creating extra possessions and limiting Memphis’ opportunities.


For Memphis, the night carried added significance with several Columbus natives in the lineup.


Jalen Hearn led the Lions with 19 points on efficient shooting, while Marquis Mathis added 19 points, and KJ Council contributed 14 points, each making an impact against a Columbus squad in front of a familiar environment.


Josiah Mobley, another Columbus native, added 10 points and 6 rebounds, bringing energy and physicality throughout his minutes.


Memphis was led overall by Zanteous Thornton, who finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds, anchoring the Lions’ effort on both ends.


Despite Memphis’ balanced scoring and local ties, Columbus maintained control through execution and physical play, preventing any sustained comeback attempt.


With the win, the Columbus Wizards improve to 7–4 on the season, continuing to build momentum.
