The Columbus Wizards delivered a decisive performance against the Grove City Whitetails, securing a 139–95 victory in the second matchup of the Cap City Championship.

After a tightly contested 119–116 battle in the first meeting, this matchup marked a clear shift in momentum, with Columbus controlling the game from start to finish.

The night also carried added significance, as Phillip Bledsoe II returned to The Rike Center for the first time as a member of the Whitetails after facing his former team earlier in the series. Bledsoe finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds, but Columbus’ collective performance proved too much to overcome.

From the opening tip, the Wizards established control on both ends of the floor. Columbus shot 56.6 percent (56-of-99) from the field and assisted on 22 field goals, showcasing efficient and connected offensive execution.

Defensively, the Wizards limited Grove City to 41.5 percent shooting and just 6-of-34 (17.6%) from three-point range, applying consistent pressure and preventing any sustained rhythm.

Jay Farrow led all scorers with 31 points on 13-of-22 shooting, including 4-of-8 from three-point range, setting the tone offensively.

Jaiveon Eaves added 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting, along with 5 assists, while Jalen Robinson contributed 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting in one of his most efficient performances of the season.

Josiah Fulcher recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds, and Rasheed Brooks added 17 points, providing additional scoring depth.

Michael Davenport contributed 19 points and 6 rebounds, while Mat Bingaya impacted the game across multiple areas with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.

Columbus also controlled the glass with a 57–47 rebounding advantage, including 14 offensive rebounds, generating second-chance opportunities that extended possessions and fueled scoring runs.

For Grove City, Cam Sembly added 15 points, while Elias Osbourne and Niejel Young each contributed 13 points, but the Whitetails were unable to recover from early deficits and shooting struggles.

After a competitive opening matchup, this game underscored Columbus’ ability to adjust, execute, and impose its style of play in the rivalry.

With the win, the Columbus Wizards improve to 3–3 on the season, returning to .500 while continuing to build momentum.

The victory also gives Columbus a 2–0 lead in the Cap City Championship series, establishing early control as the rivalry continues to unfold.
